You Are Invited You are invited to participate in the 4th annual Little Creek Cup, and 1st annual Chesapeak Bay Poker Run, on Saturday, August 7th, 1999. This is an opportunity for the Sailing / Boating Community to show its support for the fight against cancer, a disease that has touched all of our lives. The Little Creek Cup Regatta has become in three short years, one of the outstanding events on the southern reaches of the Chesapeake Bay. It is the only American Cancer Society sponsored maritime event in the country and is the pilot for other events across the country! Through sponsorships and individual fundraising efforts, last years event raised over $56,000 for the American Cancer Society. This year�s goal has been set at $85,000! Prizes will go to the top individual fund raisers, as well as the most spirited boat (flying the most LCC/CPBPR flags). Prizes include (but are not limited to): Airline tickets valued at $2,000 - donated by CI Travel Inflatable dinghy valued at $1,000 - donated by West Marine This year�s event will involve over 1,000 guests for pre and post-race celebrations with dining and entertainment, and host hundreds of sail and power boats for the Regatta and Poker Run.
